My journey began when I was quite young, grappling with various digestive issues that caused me significant distress. Medical professionals often dismissed my symptoms as typical bloating and constipation, attributing them to irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and suggesting dietary changes. I followed their advice diligently, even adopting an extremely restrictive diet that eliminated multiple food groups. Yet, my struggles persisted.

A decade passed, and my symptoms continued to worsen. At the age of 30, I received a devastating diagnosis – Stage 4 colon cancer. My colon housed a tumor the size of a peach, and the cancer had spread to my liver. According to the most optimistic statistics, my chances of surviving another five years with conventional treatment were only around 12%. Despite these odds, I was unwavering in my determination not to let the disease define my story. I braved numerous surgeries and underwent chemotherapy, determined not to have regrets about forgoing standard treatments.

Throughout my recovery, I made deliberate lifestyle choices that eventually led me to a healthier, more vibrant, and cancer-free life. I immersed myself in optimizing my nutrition and took every measure to create an environment within my body that was inhospitable to cancer and other diseases. This commitment to my well-being paid off, as I gradually reclaimed my vitality. Remarkably, just a year after struggling to walk around the block during my chemotherapy treatments, I completed my first 10K race.
