Frequently Asked Questions Regarding My Wellness Programs

Do you take insurance? Currently, insurance companies do not cover my services. However, my practice is set up to accept payments from FSA and HSA accounts.

Do you have long-distance clients? Yes! I help support people all across the country! I use the phone or Zoom for our virtual appointments. Lab work, if needed, can be done in your local area, with results sent directly to me.

Why do I need functional lab testing? I don’t like to guess! I like knowing exactly what we’re working with so that we know what to target. This way, I can create a more accurate healing protocol for you.

What results can I expect? Results will vary, but results are seen by ALL clients who comply with recommendations that are suggested in making the necessary nutrition and lifestyle changes. Historically, my clients who have been the most successful in attaining their goals have made a commitment of a minimum of 6 months to a year.

Are you able to help me with a specific health issue? Integrative health coaching can help with so many different health issues. If you want to know specifically if I have any experience working with clients who have gone through something similar to you, contact me and ask! I’d love to get in touch.

Do I have to take supplements? Supplements are a common component of many healing plans, and they can offer significant support. While the healing potential of food and nutrition is undeniable, I also strive to expedite my clients’ progress whenever possible. Often, this entails incorporating supplemental aids alongside nourishing foods and lifestyle adjustments.

What is the difference between supplements provided by a nutrition practitioner or a professional online dispensary and those purchased in a local grocery store or drug store? There is a huge difference. The supplement industry is not regulated, so anyone can package anything and sell it with a claim, meanwhile it may not have the stated ingredients in the package at all. Many contain fillers that are even more detrimental to our health. Practitioners use manufacturers that provide us with lab assays that verify the potency, purity, and efficacy of the product. This is valued in my industry since practitioners are in the business of helping their clients bring their health back into balance or assisting in the healing process.

Who is not likely to benefit from your work? This work is not a quick fix. It is not a crash diet, but rather a way of life. Individuals who are looking for a quick fix or are not willing to follow through long-term will not have lasting results. This approach is not suited for people who are ambivalent about making health a priority in their lives.

My first meeting with Alma was in 2018 due to a back problem. She not only helped me relieve my back pain, but Alma also opened up my eyes to my overall well-being. I remember how Alma will talk about health, diet, fasting, autophagy, insulin resistance, liver cleansing, inflammation, and diets to me. At that time, I had no clue what she was talking about. LOL. I will only listen and of course, my curiosity will lead me to research and learn. I found out that I’m full of inflammation due to a poor diet! Alma is my angel! I now have been eating clean, using my supplements that she had recommended, on intermittent fasting and what’s best of it all, I feel great and my energy is amazing! With Alma’s healing hand and wealth of health knowledge, I’m on my way to a new healthy me!!!!!
